B&B Colori e Note Bed&Breakfast

The Materdei stop on the main metro line is a two-minute walk away, and Museo and the old town are about 10 minutes on foot. Gianni runs the apartment with real heart, and as a native Napolitian he has all the local information you might need, even for a longer stay, so just ask. The place was always clean and ready when we got back each day, and we looked forward to the authentic breakfast every morning. We’ll return one day!

The metro is just around the corner, which makes it easy to explore the city, and Gianni even arranged a parking space for us. He also gave us good suggestions for things to do and restaurants to try. The rooms are cosy, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Breakfast was lovely, with homemade cakes, great coffee, and yogurt. If we come back to Naples, we’ll definitely stay here again. 🙂

There’s nothing bad I can say about this wonderful hotel. My friend and I stayed for a week, and Gianni and Lina made it feel warm and homelike. They gave us excellent recommendations and directions around the city, took an interest in our plans, and made sure we felt safe as two young women travelling abroad. Although it’s close to Materdei metro station, our room was quiet, and with the shutters closed it was dark enough to sleep whenever we wanted. The place was tidy and vibrant, and the furniture was clean, well kept, and practical. The blue room’s vanity table was especially handy for doing our makeup. Lina welcomed us and showed us around the clean, well-kept rooms with crisp linen. At the end of February, with winter still hanging on, she turned up the radiators when we asked. Breakfast was a generous spread of food and drink, even though we were the only guests during the off-season midweek. By Saturday, every room was suddenly occupied. There was juice, cake, and great cappuccinos, with Lina’s marble cake with orange glaze a particular highlight. Our hosts were around for lovely conversation and help during breakfast. Nearby, there’s a supermarket with the basics and a good range of Italian cheese. Starita has the best pizza in Napoli, and Materdei metro connects directly to garibaldi, the city centre and the place to connect for amalfi and pompei. I’d absolutely stay at colorí e note again.

Gianni was attentive and friendly, with excellent advice for exploring Naples. I had a very good stay here with my two teenage sons, and highly recommend it. The B&B is quiet, in a pleasant neighborhood, and just a minute from Materdei metro, which makes it easy to get around. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was very good and generous.
