B&B Dimora San Felice

The room looked good and was tidy, and the hotel itself is attractive in a perfect location. But none of that helped when we couldn't sleep. We heard every word from the “lobby,” along with the staff speaking loudly, the reception intercom, church bells, planes, and noise from other rooms. The sound insulation is basically nonexistent, and it was a nightmare. It might be better value if they did something about the noise. As it stands, I'd only suggest it to someone who's completely drunk or deaf.

The biggest issue for me was housekeeping. They tossed food containers we wanted to keep, even though they weren't in the trash, and replaced our soap with a new bar each day. That felt wasteful and unnecessary, and I'd ask management to reconsider doing it that way. Aside from that, the place was clean and modern, with a lovely balcony and big glass door. It's handy for restaurants, bars, and the port. When we were there in mid July 2022, the metro station across the street was closed, which was a hassle. The busy roundabout and thin walls meant some noise, but it wasn't unbearable. There isn't a front desk physically on site. Check-in was unusual but efficient, and virtual staff were available during certain hours. That setup wasn't ideal for questions or help. Still, we had a great stay.

The rooms look lovely and are clean, but the walls might as well not be there. Noise carries from other rooms, and staff seem to talk above 60 decibels. We were woken by shouting over the reception intercom, church bells, planes, and noise from elsewhere in the hotel. Sleep was out of the question.

We arrived later in the evening and used self check-in. It was really easy, and the staff had made sure we had all the instructions we needed. The room was comfortable, modern, and clean, and everyone we dealt with was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was simple, just right for us. We got excellent value and would happily come back, hopefully for a longer stay next time.
