The host was very kind, and the location is near the courthouse. The room itself is on the fifth floor of a shabby building with no elevator, a detail that isn’t mentioned anywhere. The mattresses sag a bit and weren’t comfortable at all. Breakfast wasn’t very good either. Calling this a B&B is a stretch.

I’m puzzled by all the good reviews. The neighborhood is really bad, and getting to the room means hauling luggage up huge steps to a fifth-floor walk-up. The curtains let in so much light that by six in the morning it feels like being on a beach. The bathroom is tiny. On the first day I had to shower in cold water because the faucet was installed badly, and the owner hadn’t told me. The air conditioning stopped working on the second day. If you can spend €50 more, I’d choose somewhere else. This place is for backpackers on a shoestring budget.
