The apartment didn’t match several things listed: there was no washing machine, mosquito screens were only in the bathroom, and the only air conditioner was in the living room. We found ants throughout the apartment, and cockroaches appeared by the entrance every night. We were scared to leave or come back after dark. I booked through Booking and contacted them several times for help, but got no reply. After the stay, I posted a review there with details and photos. The host then messaged me on WhatsApp, asking me to remove it in exchange for a full refund. I said I’d post the details on Google if the money wasn’t returned after I deleted the review. After that, the host stopped responding. I’m sharing this here so people know what happened.

The beach is quite a long way off, though the historic Old Town is nearby. Naples is a very particular city, and this place is in a fairly good neighborhood. It’s a very nice spot, with everything on site.

The person I booked with was very kind, and agreed to let us add another guest for €20 after I explained that three of us would share the double bed. But the flat was listed for four and really only works for two: once the sofa bed is open, there’s no room to get through. We also found lots of ants. When we told the lady, she said that had never happened before, but the reservations manager said they’d had an infestation some time ago. The cat litter wasn’t working properly, either. The sofa bed mattress was so thin that we couldn’t sleep comfortably because we could feel the metal frame. There was just one bath towel per person, with no face towels.
