My stay at BeBaSu was disastrous. I absolutely don't recommend it, especially for women traveling alone. I felt unsafe in my room and couldn't sleep all night, with cameras everywhere making me feel watched. At 2 AM, aggressive WhatsApp messages arrived. I hadn't replied when the owner burst in furious, kicked down the door and demanded more money because I'd let a friend in 30 minutes earlier. I felt he was trying to extort me, saying I'd have to sleep outside if I didn't pay, even though the night was already paid for. This ruined my time in Naples, with zero hours of sleep and a massive anxiety attack. Several hours after I left, he canceled my reservation, which I believe was to stop me posting a review. When I arrived, nobody opened the door, although I'd told them my arrival time several days earlier, and I waited for hours. It's an apartment with several rooms managed by different owners, not a hotel, and there was no key box. Please take precautions and avoid this accommodation at all costs.

The owners were easy to reach by text and really helpful, from arranging taxis to sending WhatsApp links for things to see around Naples. We found the room roomy enough, with a comfortable bed, and the Chiaia location was lovely, near the coast and good restaurants. We stayed four nights. The main snag was the shower, which had a boiler problem. Hot water was possible, just not for very long, which was awkward with two people sharing. I also would have liked a full-length mirror in the bedroom, though that's personal preference. We'd happily stay again.

The rooms have very poor sound insulation, and there's no option to leave your luggage. Check-in is only by appointment, which felt unbelievable. The owner was aggressive and abusive. You're watched by cameras, and I even suspect there may be cameras in the rooms. Take a look at the balcony.

We asked to split the change fee with the hotel or reduce it, but they refused both requests. That left us feeling helpless and showed a complete lack of empathy. We'd had four other hotels give us flexibility, so this place, which could have been a reference, came across as wanting nothing but our money. Be careful booking here. Even a WORLD PANDEMIC could leave you with the whole loss. This was meant to be our honeymoon stay at BeBaSu in April 2020, but closed borders during COVID-19 meant we couldn't travel. The hotel issued a voucher valid for six months, through September. We could only change our airline tickets near the end of November this year. Initially the hotel refused, saying the crisis meant it would be closed. After we kept asking to move the stay to November, they agreed if we paid another 47 euros. Half of the stay had already been paid, and that extra amount was about 325 brazilian reais in today's exchange rate, a lot for us. If closure was the reason changes were only allowed through September, why allow November for an extra fee? We understand the crisis affected everyone, but it hit us hard too, and we're keeping this trip because we don't want to cause more damage to tourism. Whatever kind of accommodation we paid for, this was force majeure and everyone was badly affected.
