Bed and Breakfast Mezzocannone

We were there for five minutes before making a complaint. The room had no window and absolutely no reception, and the smell was unbearable. I don’t have high standards, but there was mold, damp, and mildew everywhere. When the owner said these weren’t the conditions she provided and the room wasn’t even suitable for sleeping, she then told us, “Okay, you won’t get a refund anyway.” The matter is still ongoing. We left after those few minutes smelling of mold. Such a huge disappointment.

The location is perfect, but the room was awful. It was maybe 15 m², with mold in the bathroom and a smell of it throughout. The bed was broken and uncomfortable, there was a constant noise, and the blankets were stained. It felt like breathing in a closed, moldy space. The only window looked onto the door, there was no phone signal, and some lights didn’t work. The TV shown in the photos didn’t work, and the air conditioning didn’t work either. The filters were disgusting. There was a small table in the photos, but none when we got there. Finding the place was a mess too, since there was no house number. Honestly, you’d breathe better sleeping on the street.

The bathroom is downstairs, reached by a spiral staircase, and it’s very humid down there. Cleanliness could be better. The location is excellent, near the historic center and just a short walk from the metro.

The host was warm and helpful. The apartment itself is modern and clean, set inside an older building that's clearly been looked after, right in Naples' historic center.
