This was an absolutely terrible hotel, and I found the owner very shady and sneaky. When I arrived, he said the room would be ready only if I cancelled my online booking and paid him in cash. He kept pushing me to do that and to contact them claiming I’d missed my flight. I didn’t feel comfortable after being asked so many times, or after he insisted I go to the bank for the cash. I worried he might steal my things, though I can’t know that. Don’t stay here. It’s also very hard to find, inside a building, and you have to walk up multiple floors to reach it.

This cosy B&B is run by Mario, a wonderful host who was always happy to offer advice on getting to attractions and finding good local places to eat. The rooms are a good size, have ensuite bathrooms, and include air conditioning, which we definitely needed during our stay. Breakfast is included, though with so many good eateries nearby, it’s worth seeing what the local cafes offer too. The location is fantastic for shopping, right on the area’s main shopping street, surrounded by restaurants, all kinds of shops, boutiques, and big brands. Some grand city attractions are an easy walk away, including the palace, opera theatre, galleria, and a huge cathedral. For anything farther off, the metro is nearby, easy to use, and cheap, so crossing the city won’t dent your wallet. Be aware that the building has quite a few stairs. There’s a lift, but the floors are on different levels, so even after taking it to floor 3, you still have several stairs to manage. All in all, a good B&B.
