Belledonne Apartments

The kitchen had a really unpleasant smell. The rooms look new, but they were so noisy that I couldn’t sleep at all.

Breakfast was the biggest problem. I’d told them well in advance that I’m vegan, but on the first day there was only rice milk, no fresh baked goods, and jam made with honey. The second day they gave us a voucher for a nearby American Bakery, though there wasn’t much vegan food there either. On the third day they forgot about us. The host wasn’t around, so the breakfast and Wi-Fi problems couldn’t be sorted out while we were there. The Wi-Fi was unreliable all three days, and the room had no fridge, so there was nowhere to keep cold water in the heat. The room was spacious, nice, and quiet, and the bathroom was good too. It was quite dark with no view, but that was fine for us. The B&B was closed one of our three days, a Monday at the end of July, so the room wasn’t made up. Its location is right in the middle of the nice Chiaia area, where the outside noise can be especially noticeable at weekends, so our quiet room was a real plus.

We came back to this B&B for a couple of nights in Napoli because it’s in one of the city’s best areas. We’ll most likely choose it again next time.

Getting around was easy, and the host communicated well. It’s a peaceful place in the historic area, with lots of good spots for food and drinks nearby.
