Cellamare Suite & Spa

The second-floor room with its balcony and jacuzzi was the best hotel experience I've had in Italy so far. Cellamare really was a hidden gem in Napoli. The room was spacious, lovely, and a higher standard than others I've tried, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. The location was perfect too. I honestly can't think of anything bad to say. 😍

I was in Napoli for an exhibition at Accademia IUAD, and the accademia booked me one night at Cellamare. The room had a jacuzzi and a small sauna. It was in a very central, non-touristy neighborhood, where I saw locals greeting each other in the morning, just like in a movie. Salvatore at reception showed wonderful Neapolitan hospitality and looked after me like family. He even went out to find an umbrella when it rained, suggested local restaurants for authentic dishes, and helped arrange a taxi, checking it would arrive on time and charge the right price. I'm very grateful for all his help and for such a lovely stay.

I've stayed at Cellamare Suite and Spa three times and plan to keep coming back whenever I visit Naples. Salvatore, the manager, has been kind and helpful each time, with great advice on restaurants around the city and tours out of Napoli. The Via Chiaia location also makes it easy to reach the main sights, from Piazza Plebiscito and Il Palazzo Reale to I Quartieri Spagnoli, Via Toledo, and the Lungomare. I highly recommend it as a way to enjoy what Naples has to offer.

The name Cellamare Suite & Spa really doesn't fit. The spa was being used for storage and couldn't be used, and with the smell that was probably for the best. Music from the flats above was loud every morning, and there wasn't even a kettle in the room. I'd call it Cellamare Hostel instead. Strongly recommend staying away.
