Cerasiello Apartment

The terrace was our favorite spot, with a great atmosphere and a view of Napoli. We spent several days here on our 2010 honeymoon and found the place welcoming and full of charm. The kitchen had plenty of breakfast food, tea, coffee, and cookware, and our room was quiet, clean, and decorated with care. At first, the dense, narrow streets felt noisy and chaotic, but the people we met were friendly and helpful. The entrance looked uninviting, then inside it felt like a calm, beautiful oasis. Cerasiello B&B was one of the best places we stayed on the trip. There’s no front desk, so we had to meet the host at the metro station, and you’ll need a cellphone to arrange that.

The central location is convenient, with the city center within walking distance, but the price feels too high for the room and service. The beds were two mattresses pushed together as a makeshift double. I’m not especially tall, yet my legs stuck out, and the gap between the mattresses was frustrating. Separate beds would have suited us better, so I wouldn’t recommend it for a couple. A few things should have been made clearer. There was no bag deposit service, which wasn’t stated on Agoda. The owner insisted there was one, and I sent a screenshot of the hotel policy on WhatsApp. Later an employee said it wasn’t listed in the service section among the 20 different services. Cooking isn’t allowed, which removes a basic advantage of a B&B. At 76 euros a night without breakfast, a hotel seems the better option. A towel change costs 20 euros. We didn’t need one, but in winter I’d expect at least one change every 2 days.

The terrace and the view from our room were both lovely. Rooms were clean and nice, and the location was good, though a little far from the center. Breakfast is self-serve with the basics, nothing fancy. Pretty good overall.
