Chiatamone Seaside Suite

We spent six nights here over the weekend of 10/19/25, and I strongly advise against staying. One bedroom faces a busy street, and the windows don’t block the noise adequately. It’s busy day and night, making it practically impossible for anyone in that room to sleep. The beds were dirty, with potato chip crumbs on one of them, and there was no toilet paper or soap. Absurd and unacceptable. Not recommended.

Sleeping here was practically impossible because the house was so noisy at night. There was also a strong musty smell that stayed with us throughout the visit. The cleaning wasn’t satisfactory, with sand residue scattered around, probably from recent drilling. We arrived to find no toilet paper and had to ask for some, and there was no shower soap, so we used hand soap instead. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a positive experience.

We picked this place because Booking advertised it as a suite with a beach in front and a convenient location. That isn’t true: there’s a port and seafront, no beach, and getting there means walking, which is very inconvenient. Everything is awkward to reach, especially the center. The rooms are dark and damp, particularly the entrance area with the sofa bed and kitchen facing the street. You can’t really rest here. It’s beside an underground parking garage open day and night, with constant noise until 3 am and starting again at 5 am. Without the air-conditioning, there’s no air to breathe. The cars would have been a better choice. Never again. And don’t be misled about parking: it costs extra, with just a 5 euro discount.

My colleagues stayed from October 1st to 5th, 2019, for an event at the Royal Continental at Via Partenope 56. The apartment was comfortable for four people and very close to the event. There was a small mix-up, but the owner looked after us the whole time and made the stay comfortable. The staff get a 10/10 for being friendly, efficient, and helpful.
