Chocolate's Home

We had everything we needed in this clean, pleasant apartment. The owner was friendly, the view was nice, and the interesting building is close to both the metro and bus station.

A warning about bed bugs. We stayed two nights and had bites on our faces and bodies from the first day. On the morning we left, we checked the bed carefully and found several bugs crawling on the sheets and pillows. We told the owner right away. We said we understood it might not be their fault, but asked for a refund. The owner said they had not received our payment yet. The booking platform told us the establishment had to handle the refund and had refused any compensation. We spent days washing and treating our clothes, and packed everything carefully so we wouldn't bring bugs into our accommodation. We had to throw out and replace several things, including coats and sweaters. We left covered in bites, especially on our faces, and the whole situation caused a lot of anxiety and expense. We sent several polite messages, but the hotel wouldn't refund us and eventually stopped replying. We’re outraged by the lack of consideration and feel the establishment should have offered some gesture for all the trouble. I strongly advise against staying here.

The location is handy for seeing the city, and the service was quick and attentive whenever we asked for something. But the room didn't match the photos. You can still see signs of renovation, with raised parquet and damaged, cracked walls. Several bathroom fixtures were broken, including the toilet seat, and the sheets on the bed were stained. For the price, the room really isn't worth it.

We were three people, and the room was spacious, tidy, and air-conditioned. The owner was on time and even kept our luggage on the last day. The double bed was great, but my third bed was a bit uncomfortable. The main reason for my three stars is that I wanted the bathroom floor and sheets to be cleaner, though they were reasonably clean. The location is very convenient.
