For the price, this was good value compared with other places, and the central location was handy. The room was basic, though: getting to it was a bit complicated, it smelled of mold, and the bed layer was tough.

Everything was excellent, but the 9pm check-in cutoff made things stressful. We were touring a few towns and got delayed, so arriving before 9pm was difficult. I think the administration should have a special option for situations like that. We did make it by 9pm in the end, but were very stressed.

After a couple of days, I felt much better about the stay. We had a few problems, but they were sorted out right away, and the breakfast was actually pretty good. I ended up really enjoying our time there. At first I wondered what we’d gotten ourselves into. There’s no reception, the room isn’t cleaned and towels aren’t changed until the third day, and I prefer daily cleaning, fresh towels, and breakfast at the hotel instead of a walk to a nearby café.

Smart access and check-in made arriving easy, quick, and well organized, with no waiting around. The CappuccinoSmart service was a neat idea too. You use a QR code to get breakfast at one of several affiliated bars, choosing the café yourself. It’s a tasty, modern option that gives you more freedom than packaged snacks or very limited alternatives. I stayed at Vulcania Rooms in Naples in August and had a great experience. The rooms were bright, comfortable, and very clean, with thoughtful details that made me feel at ease. The location is strategic, just a few minutes’ walk from Piazza del Plebiscito, the Maschio Angioino, and other sights. A comfortable, convenient place to start exploring Naples, and easy to recommend.
