Vomero had a comfortable middle class feel, with affordable places to eat close by. The B&B is only a couple of blocks from the subway, and the main sights are about 30 minutes away. My wife and I enjoyed our three nights here, including the breakfast voucher for a nearby cafe. Our room was immaculately clean, and Nunzio was proactively helpful throughout. He offered us a larger room, but we chose Vesuvius because it had windows next to the bedroom.

Vomero was a nice place to return to after a day in the chaos of Naples. The property felt safe, with restaurants and shops within walking distance, plus the viewpoints and castle close by. The metro is frequent and takes 15-20 minutes into Naples, though check the timetable. Google was wrong sometimes, and some town stations weren’t running around 10 p.m. The building is old but the property is modern, beautiful, quiet, and luxurious. We slept very well, and there was a lovely bathroom and lots of storage. The host was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple and served at a cafe down the road.

We had a wonderful stay at Conte relais suite. The location felt perfect and very safe, and the room was spacious, extremely clean, and well organized. Our host was delightful and attentive. 10/10! ✨

Nunzio lives nearby and was wonderfully helpful and easy to reach. He speaks little English, but he’s great with a translation app, and we got along easily with my halting Italian. This is a fantastic, safe middle class neighborhood for a longer stay. Daily essentials are just a short walk away: grocery stores, pharmacy, clothing shops, tobacconist/newsstand, ATM, gelato shops, cafes, restaurants, subway, and taxi stand. When you’re tired of restaurants and don’t want to cook, Casa Lotti, an excellent tavola calda, is only steps away for takeaway dinner. Bar Maria is a great spot to sit and watch the neighborhood go by. There’s also a huge pedestrian shopping and restaurant area about ten minutes away, packed with locals at all hours and especially worth seeing on weekends. From here, Naples’ world class museums and churches are easy to reach by subway, taxi, or on foot, then you can come back to a quieter base after the crowds, noise, and traffic of Napoli in centro. We stayed almost two weeks in the suite, which worked perfectly for an extended visit. The kitchen and bathroom have been beautifully updated, with appliances nicer than ours at home. Having rented apartments in six other Italian cities, this was by far the best shower we’ve had: roomy, with a big rain forest shower head.
