Corso Novara 5 Design Apartments

There are four doors to get through before reaching the room. First comes a large green entrance door, where you enter a password. That part felt exciting, since people who seemed potentially unsafe often wandered around at night. Next, after entering the code, go through the glass cabinet on the right to get the room key, which also needs a password. Then there's a small green door on the third floor that opens with a key card, followed by the room door. The sound insulation is a little weak, but the other room facilities are good 👍 With all four doors, the room feels secure.

I booked right away after seeing Korean reviews because I liked that it was near the station. But there are homeless people right by the accommodation entrance, and it's hard to find. If you look lost, you're an easy target for someone trying to shake you down, and I was actually robbed. This is one of the least safe areas nearby, so be careful. There are also lots of thugs on the corner of the block with the Chinese restaurant, as you face from the accommodation. There's a small sign on the green door, so make sure you go in at once without getting confused, or it could be dangerous.

Everything is close at hand: trains, buses, the airport bus, metro, the commuter train to Pompeii, cafés, and restaurants. The landlords gave us useful information in advance, and using the entry codes was easy. It's especially easy to find the entrance if you remember it's opposite McDonald's. There was also someone like a caretaker around during the day, and they were helpful. The apartment is spacious and simply furnished, and it's great if you're tired of your partner taking ages in the bathroom, since there are two of them. The surroundings are far from romantic, though, and you have to pass through four electronic locks to reach the apartment. Looking out the window at the misery in the street is heartbreaking. If you want to study the rise and fall of European culture, where better than here?
