The historic nobleman’s house has a lovely look and atmosphere, and the rooms, service, and location were all excellent. The staff were among the friendliest and most helpful I’ve encountered. They were also empathetic about the WiFi problem and tried to help. I was offered other places in the hotel to work, and someone even lent me a multi-pronged charger so I could plug three devices into one outlet. The main issue for me was the WiFi. It could take up to 10 minutes to connect, or even just to get the login page to appear, depending on where I was in the hotel. This was especially awkward on a laptop. After the laborious registration and login process, the connection would drop randomly, so I had to start over. Staff knew this was a recurring issue. The signal is apparently stable and strong in the meeting/conference room on the 3F, across from breakfast, where guests have worked and interviewed. But there’s only one outlet, it isn’t private, people can come and go, and it’s beside two room hallways. Sound echoes through the building, so it didn’t seem like an ideal work spot. For students or working professionals who need to work, interview, or make calls while traveling, the WiFi can be terrible. I understand that older buildings have limits, and this didn’t seem to be the staff’s fault, but stable WiFi is expected in a four-star hotel. I had an important job interview and ended up spending more money on phone data to hotspot my laptop. The hotspot from my Saily eSIM card was pretty consistent for about 10 hours, though I had to keep an eye on it. Airalo is another good eSIM option for connectivity and price. Calls can also be an issue because sound carries through the hallways and floors, which is why the hotel provides ear plugs. I was on the 2F and could hear noise from the 1F and people talking or moving in the halls. It woke me a few times. There aren’t many outlets in guest rooms either, so check behind the dresser. I found two there. One tip for computer users: the registration or login page might not open by itself when you connect, so try entering 1.1.1.1 in the URL bar. I hope this helps.
