Deda & Fove

Right on Piazza Garibaldi, the location couldn't be better. Shops, stands, nightlife, and a train station are all a short walk away. I didn't use the station, but it was handy having it close. The hosts were a lovely, attentive couple. The woman answered all my questions, and check-in was easy. As a solo traveler, I felt safe with the two-door entry system. Defa & Fove was the cleanest and most comfortable place I stayed in Napoli. The room felt beautiful and welcoming, with little things like clean slippers and, especially, proper fluffy pillows in several sizes. They made sleeping so comfortable. The modern shower was a highlight too, with an overhead extension, side sprays, and a handheld option. The water was always hot and refreshing. I felt safe, comfortable, and looked after, and I'm so glad I booked here. I'd absolutely stay again on my next Napoli trip. Highly recommend!

I really liked the owners, which makes this a hard review to write. They were friendly, showed up right on time, and check-in was easy. The location near Toledo station was perfect, and the recently renovated interior is beautiful. The room had some real drawbacks, though. The walls are thin, so you hear whenever someone comes in or out of the lobby. The mattress was extremely firm, and the sheets felt scratchy. The air conditioning switches off when you leave, and it took hours to cool the room down. There was little to no air conditioning in the lobby too. We couldn't use the coffee and breakfast pastry area because it was closed for our whole stay. And we found a very large June bug in the room and had to kill it. Very nice people, but I think this would suit a shorter stay better.

The room was spotless and modern, with a great bathroom and shower. There was also a shared area for making really good coffee, with snacks and sometimes delicious pastries. The location worked out well, too. The owners were the best part. They were so kind, gave us great recommendations, and took time to answer all our questions. You could tell they actually cared about helping us. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you!

The couple running the place were very friendly, and the building has a great interior with lovely marble and granite. It’s also a surprisingly high-tech hotel for Italy, in a great location. A few things were tricky for us. The shower sprays water around the bathroom when you turn it on unless the door is shut. The mattress was new but very firm, and there are cameras everywhere, maybe more than necessary. Housekeeping also means you need to be out of the room by 10:30. That’s understandable, but with jet lag we sometimes wanted to sleep in and get ready later. Maybe we’re just obnoxious tourists, and I know I’m picky about mattresses. I’d still recommend it for a short visit.
