DO NOT STAY HERE I arrived at the apartment I'd paid for through VRBO and found the air conditioning broken, with the temperature at 90 degrees. I begged the host for three hours to come deal with it, but he refused. When he finally showed up, at 9pm, he told me to go to a hotel. As a woman traveling alone, I had to drag my suitcases out into the street and flag down a taxi. The neighborhood felt super sketchy and unsafe. He told me to get a hotel and said he would issue a refund, but I never got one. They then posted a negative review about me on the Vacation Rental by Owner website, which felt like more harassment. Update, july 14: I'm still waiting for my refund, even though I didn't stay a single night here.
