Domenico welcomed us at the reception across the road and showed us to our spotless, cool room. He also shared tips for seeing Napoli in the way we wanted, and his suggestions led us to some of the best parts of our trip. The room was good value and a calm spot amid Naples’ busy streets. We’ve stayed here twice now, and I’d recommend it if you want to be right in the centre.

Domenico made a real difference to our stay, sharing great ideas for places to eat, sights to see, and lesser-known spots we might have missed. The suite was in the middle of the city, with historic places, restaurants, and lively markets all within walking distance. We stayed in Room 4, which was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, with a mix of modern comfort and classic Neapolitan style. The bed was very comfortable, and the sound-reducing windows helped block out the busy city. It felt like a home away from home. Duomo Luxury Suites was a fantastic base, and we’d love to come back.

Domenico was a great host and gave us useful ideas for things to see and do. The rooms are unusual in style but very clean. I’d definitely recommend staying here in Napoli.

We arrived in the evening, and the streets around this central Naples location were dirty and crowded. The reception area didn’t feel welcoming, and the whole place gave me the feel of a cheap motel. I didn’t feel safe there, especially as a woman, and wouldn’t recommend it. The paintings at reception were vulgar, the rooms are in a different location, and there’s a lingerie shop just outside the reception in the same complex. The overall atmosphere just wasn’t for me.

I found Suite Duomo while searching late into the night for somewhere else to stay after a bad experience with an airBNB apartment. I’d come to Naples after touring southern Italy and had only spent one night in that apartment. Moving to Suite Duomo felt like a godsend. Venere and Roberto kindly welcomed me at short notice, and the rooms were modern and immaculately clean, with a cosy feel, soft pillows, a very comfortable bed, and soundproof double-glazed windows. It was warm and quiet, and I slept really well. As a woman travelling alone, I also felt safe in the building. The old town location was great, within walking distance of the main sights, cafés, bars, and restaurants. Venere and her husband’s hospitality made the stay unforgettable. She was there whenever I needed help. One night I couldn’t get the shower started, and even though it was late, she talked me through it on a video call. I really appreciated that. Each morning Venere and her assistant Mary greeted me with a smile, an espresso, and a lovely cookie. Venere went out of her way to make sure guests were comfortable and happy. She also arranged a tour of the archaeological museum with Simone, who knows her work well. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and Simone also offers tours around the historic centre. This was my third time in Naples, a city I love for its history, culture, amazing food, and kind, friendly people. I’ll definitely stay at Suite Duomo again. If I could, I’d give it 10 stars! Grazie di tutto Venere e Roberto. Sei il migliore!! Neshe
