Foro Carolino

The train is right at the door, and the rooms are lovely with great staff. The one downside was the ballet school upstairs. Until around 9 pm, it sounded like an elephant disco was happening over our bed.

We stayed five nights at Foro Carolino and would love to come back. The rates were very reasonable, the staff were friendly, and the small place was well kept and organized. Our room and bed were huge, and there was a little balcony just above a piano shop. You’re right on Piazza Dante in the city center, beside some great cafés and bars. We were surprised to find the hotel is actually part of the big school building. I’d assumed the photo just showed the general location.

We booked the king suite and found it very spacious, with two large windows looking out over the Piazza. The staff were super friendly and helpful with information, and the location is great. There’s a ballet studio upstairs, so classes make some noise. We were out exploring during the day, though, and it wasn’t really a problem.

This family-run hotel is a quiet, unusual little place tucked into Naples’ busy city center. The architecture and interior design are breathtaking, and the owner was very friendly and looked after us. We weren’t sure when we’d arrive, but when we called, he came right away with the keys and showed us around. You’re close to everything, so you don’t need transport except for trips to the train station or airport, since the roads are busy.
