Megaride Santa Lucia

Our family arrived in Naples without a hotel booked after some last minute airfare roulette. We spent the first two nights at the Holiday Inn Napoli, right in an industrial area with warehouses and not much of the Italy charm we were hoping for. Then I spent a frantic day looking for somewhere a family of four could afford, and found this B&B with a room available for the rest of our trip. We hadn't stayed in a B&B before, didn't know the area, and spoke only a little “Survival Italian,” but the good reviews convinced us to try it. Anita messaged me after we booked to coordinate our arrival and share clear directions. She greeted us with a big smile and made us feel like family. She really brought the warmth to the place. The location was a big plus. Shops, restaurants, historic sights, and two supermarkets are right outside. Nearby restaurants can be a little hard on the wallet, but we saved money by picking up food at the supermarket and reheating it in the common area's microwave. Fresh pasta and mystery cheeses kept us going, and we felt pretty fancy about it. Our room was spotless and cleaned daily. It had its own bathroom, a TV, mini-fridge, and closet. The kids were especially excited about the freshly made beds. The B&B is on the sixth floor, so you can take the stairs for a bit of exercise or use the small elevator like we did after all that pizza. This place turned a chaotic start into one of the best parts of our trip. Anita is the heart of it, and we'll be back, probably with bigger appetites and a few more Italian phrases.
