Mimmù private rooms

The owner was very helpful, and the rooms were clean and really comfortable. It’s in an excellent location close to the port. I’d happily come back.

We picked this place as a base for wandering Naples’ streets, and it couldn’t have been better. The room was lovely and smelled wonderful, and Via Toledo, the Spanish Quarter, and Piazza del Plebiscito were all close by. The host was super friendly. Thanks, Naples, and thanks, Mimmú ❤️

The location is excellent, and the room is small but nice. It’s a B&B and hotel condominium, though the building is partly under construction. There was nothing set out for breakfast, just a dirty table. I didn’t see any staff, and in those conditions I would have sent someone to clean. I travel often, but I’ve never had anything like this happen. This is the first review this bad that I’ve written, and I’m shocked. It could be a great place to stay, which makes it a shame. When we arrived, the kettle held dirty, rancid-smelling water. The window panes were extremely dirty, there was money from previous guests, a used water bottle on the nightstand, and a dirty handkerchief under the pillow. The TV didn’t work because they needed to change the antenna. The shower leaked water into the bathroom, and there was no toilet paper. We’d also been told we could leave our bags before check-in, but they only told us it was no longer possible once we reached the train station in Naples. Setbacks happen, so that part was fine. The owner had phone problems and couldn’t be reached for hours. When we finally got through, he wouldn’t change the sheets or clean the room, saying he couldn’t access the sheet storage. He kept insisting the room had been cleaned, brought us toilet paper, but didn’t come to check. Hearing him say these things happen made me nervous. We took some towels and slept on top of them because there was no way the bed had been cleaned. I’m giving it two stars only because the owner drove 30 minutes to bring us a roll of toilet paper at 11 PM, and because he was polite. He’d said he would answer the phone and clean it for us. Still, “it can happen” shouldn’t be an answer.
