Reply to owner: Your response reads like excuses. You run a place that's as bad as the toilets, if not worse. We know it's not a hotel, just low-cost rooms in a residential building, but nowhere before booking did it say it was a B&B. Stop making excuses. You should have told us clearly that finding the rooms would be difficult without proper directions. Nobody did, and when we arrived, the person we were meant to speak to could barely speak English, which made everything harder. I wish we'd photographed the sheets so you couldn't come up with more lame excuses. They were in an unacceptable state, unless you think your guests are homeless people sleeping on the street. Maybe you'd consider it “okay” in that case. Your claim about the toilets is a lie as big as your ego. Maybe the smell is fine for animals or someone like you who likes disgusting odors, but an average tourist can't be expected to put up with it. I'd already seen earlier reviews mentioning toilet problems. Even your receptionist said there had been issues before. You left that out of your reply, so it's hard to trust anything you say. A “goodwill gesture” for somewhere I wouldn't let my dog stay. These rooms shouldn't be offered to tourists until the issues are fixed. You probably don't care, since you're just trying to save money. I'm glad you found the time to read my other reviews. I only wish you'd used that time to fix actual problems instead of making excuses. You seem clueless, and I don't take your “opinions” seriously. It feels like a cheap trick from someone trying to look good and find any excuse to keep a shady business going. SHAME. Original Review: The worst part was the bathroom, which smelled like a farm toilet and made the stay impossible to enjoy. The sheets were filthy when we arrived, and we had to ask for clean ones after checking in. Extra towels cost more, which is just wrong. The front desk is staffed for only four hours a day, so getting problems sorted out quickly is difficult. These feel like rooms in an ordinary building, not a hotel, and without signs outside they were really hard to find. We had to ask to leave early because staying there was unbearable. When we checked out, the owner even asked us to return our breakfast vouchers. What a joke. The owner is cheap and didn't provide the basics guests need to have a decent stay. This place could be Naples' biggest tourist TRAP. You should STAY AWAY. I've stayed at more than 200 hotels and never left a bad review before. That tells you how awful this could be.
