Mignone Luxury House

We were meant to stay six days, but left at dawn on the fifth because of the smell. I messaged the owner and never got a reply. We paid by bank transfer and received no receipt. It was a terrible, disastrous stay. I should’ve booked through booking instead of trusting them. Stay away. The owner’s place in Materdei had a tiny room, barely big enough for our suitcase, that smelled like a sewer. We left the window open when we went out, but the stench was coming from the floor. We also slept with dust everywhere and debris from construction work he was doing next door. The bathroom had no window or exhaust fan. On the first day, the work left us without hot water because the water heater had been unplugged, and we wasted half a day waiting for it to heat up.

Mergellina station is just 250 meters away, in a peaceful area, and the location is fantastic. Enrico was there to meet us and let us into the apartment an hour and a half early. Traveling with a 10-year-old, I really appreciated that. Next time we’re in Naples, Mignone Luxuri house will be our base again. Highly recommended. The location is excellent, and Enrico was genuinely courteous and kind. He even arranged a small surprise for us. There were a few oversights: half-full bottles of water and wine were left in the fridge, and the shower gel bottle had already been used, with no disposable sachets. We were two couples, and the bedrooms were the biggest problem. One bed hadn’t been changed and was dirty, with hairs in it. The other room was more or less clean. After a few days, I had red spots all over my skin, possibly from bed bugs. I can’t recommend it for cleanliness. For a value rating, I’d give it a 2. The room prices are high for what you get.

The place was new and clean, with the metro very close by and a great location. The staff were consistently helpful and kind. We also had a good experience with Salvatore, who drove us to the airport for our return flight. He was punctual, precise, and well-priced. Highly recommended.
