The staff were very friendly and the location was good. Just be prepared for a lot of noise: the walls are paper thin, so sounds carry from the neighboring rooms and reception. I could hear people coughing and turning on the bathroom water, and the nighttime and early morning noise made it hard to sleep. There are beds and a toilet, so if noise doesn’t bother you, it’s fine.

Once inside, everything was very well kept, and the family running the hotel were kind, polite, supportive, and always ready to help. The rooms were well maintained too, which made for a comfortable stay. It took some effort to find the place since it’s inside a building, but the location is central, about a five-minute walk from both the main streets and the port.

The rooms were decent, and the receptionist was great, willing to go out of her way and available to call if we needed help. Finding the hotel was another story. There was no explanation that it’s on the sixth floor, reached by an elevator that costs five cents, and we struggled to locate the entrance until a man pointed us in the right direction. Parking was the worst part. There’s nowhere to stop even briefly to unload bags, unless you’re willing to risk a fine of around 200 euros.

Nothing fancy, but the room was spotless and the hosts were gracious. Breakfast came out to our balcony, and we were close to public transport, including the ferry. The bed and memory foam pillow were the most comfortable we’d had during our week traveling around Italy. If you don’t need luxury, I’d recommend it. The location is great, and the hosts are wonderful.
