The staff were really friendly, but the rest of the experience was awful. Our room was upstairs, and even with heavy suitcases we couldn't use the elevator to reach that floor. Nobody offered to help, and the building itself felt very old. At checkout, someone had locked the door, so we had to haul our bags all the way down and then back up to reach reception.

I couldn’t sleep at all, and after booking three nights I ended up moving to another hotel. The online description and photos made this seem like a great find, but it’s managed by Otello Bello Hostel, and rooms overlooking the rooftop lounge get all the noise from young travelers, music, and parties. The manager said things would finish at midnight, and the official music did stop then. But guests kept playing music and talking and laughing loudly until 3:00-4:00 a.m. The windows aren’t soundproof, unlike those in better hotels. The noise was hard to escape: the room’s air conditioning didn’t work, so we couldn’t shut the sound out by closing the windows, and there’s no insulation between rooms or along the corridor. We heard people through the walls and doors banging all night. Other problems added up too. The old pillows were awful, and although the bathroom looked modern, the shower doors let water spread over the slippery floor tiles. Getting around with luggage was difficult. The hotel address takes you to the old entrance, and the new one has lots of steps and no luggage ramp. Reception is on the third floor, with no one there to help carry bags, and there are more stairs between the elevator lobby and the guest room security doors. This is definitely not accessible for people with disabilities. If you’re after the atmosphere of a frat party, this might suit you.

My wife and I stayed at Neapolitan trips for three nights. There are always plenty of people around since the hotel shares its building with a hostel, so it’s a good fit if you’re up for fun, drinks, beer pong, or meeting people from around the world. Our first room had a small problem: shower water was coming out and flooding the room. The staff moved us, and the second room was perfect. There’s often music downstairs, but the windows block it pretty well, and hotel management has a rule against loud music after 12, so we had no trouble getting a good night’s sleep.

The place was spotless, and the cleaners were cheerful and lovely to chat with. The interior was high quality too. For a backpacker, it was a superb stay. The staff were so welcoming and kind. Francesco and Augustina especially made the trip memorable with their hospitality and good vibes. Ask Francesco where to eat and what to see if you stay here, he knows his stuff and has great recommendations.

It’s a new, quiet hotel with spacious, clean rooms, right at the top of the building. There’s a lovely terrace up there where breakfast is served. Hotel guests can also use the bar and hostel area two floors below, which has another terrace. If a peaceful hotel stay starts to feel a bit dull, it’s a nice place to spend some time.
