Breakfast is barely more than corn flakes, milk, and an espresso, even though it’s advertised as included. The place doesn’t really feel like a hotel, more like a flat split into five separate rooms. The building looks run-down and a bit creepy, and our room was on the sixth floor. The elevator didn’t work, so after a full day walking around Naples we had to climb all six floors, which was exhausting.

Getting around was easy, with a great location for trains and the metro, plus a tiny but working lift and handy pin access. The room was a good size for the price and felt safe for a solo traveler. It had a balcony, en suite bathroom, mini fridge, small safe, table and chairs inside and out, and a 24/7 supply of drinks and snacks. The room was clean, had air conditioning that you switch on with the key, and housekeeping came daily. Breakfast was basic but available, and they kept it stocked, replacing the broken coffee machine pretty quickly. I personally preferred going out for breakfast. Sleep was harder. There’s very little soundproofing, and the horns outside are constant, so earplugs are essential. The pillows were lumpy and unpleasant to sleep on. The headboard storage unit rocked when leaned on and needs to be cut out at the base. The chairs inside can hurt your legs if you’re wearing shorts or a dress. The building is easy to spot, a huge wooden door beside a little cafe/restaurant. Naples seemed dirtier than other cities I’ve visited, with lots of rubbish left out and plenty of knockoff shoes and bags for sale. Crossing the zebra crossings takes some nerve, but drivers will stop if they have to. Vespas dominate the main central streets and can feel intimidating, and sometimes a car comes down roads full of pedestrians. Even so, the city’s bustle is intoxicating, with lots of interesting places to see, eat, and drink. I felt safe late at night and in the early hours. Italians are passionate and loud, which is part of the charm, unless you’re trying to sleep.

We had a good time in Napoli, and the owner/coordinator was communicative and helpful. The room was pretty good, and breakfast was included as it’s a B&B. The cafe downstairs was really nice, with a laundry shop, pharmacy, and other places nearby. Piazza Garibaldi is about a five-minute walk, and the touristy street of Napoli takes around ten minutes on foot. There’s also a great view. Service was okay. She made sure our towels were changed, though the floor still had some dirt, so I don’t think it was swept. The water pressure and Wi-Fi could be better. If you plan to work remotely while visiting Naples, bring mobile data as a backup.

The only good thing was being close to the railway station. The place looked completely different from the pictures, and everything was old and messy. There was mold in the shower, and the so-called breakfast wasn’t really there, just juice and cookies. The unpleasant woman at reception didn’t speak English.

Please don’t stay here. I was absolutely unhappy with the place. The host was rude, communication was terrible, and no one could offer a solution for the faulty room. It was dirty and smelled intensely of smoke. Once we arrived in this dangerous area near the train station, the police had already warned us about pickpocketing, and the location felt really unwelcoming. To reach the apartment, we had to enter an old, filthy building where you even have to pay for the elevator. Some questionable teenagers showed us to the dirty room. I honestly can’t describe how strongly it smelled of smoke. Please renovate.
