The one drawback is getting luggage up the very narrow wooden stairs to the second floor. That could be difficult if you can’t lift heavy things, or if you have a stroller or mobility issues. Otherwise, this is a quiet, clean apartment in an old building at the heart of Naples. The rooms are large, and the beds are comfortable. The host is friendly, helpful, and always in touch. It’s an excellent base for heading south to Pompeii, Vesuvius, or Amalfi without driving across the city first. The cathedral is 700 meters away, and the port is nearby. There’s also a good parking lot about 500 meters away, Car Sud Park, for 30 euros a day, with the price slightly negotiable.

Close to the port and just steps from Corso Umberto, the central shopping street, this is a great base for exploring Naples. The apartment is clean, well cared for, and tastefully furnished. I highly recommend it.

It was clean and comfortable, and looked like the photos. A good base near Naples' famous places, all worth a visit. I'd recommend it.
