Ramada by Wyndham Naples

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the rooms felt old, the carpet needs changing, and the bathroom needs repairs. Breakfast was very poor for a 4 star hotel, and the lunch catering included with our congress wasn't great either. We stayed for three nights because the congress was at the hotel. Without that, I wouldn't have chosen to stay here.

The noise was awful, even with the windows shut on the 3rd floor. I could hear people talking, car horns, and construction going on through the night on the street side. The website says the rooms are soundproof, but that wasn't true for mine. They also don't turn on the AC in spring, even when the weather calls for it. Breakfast was a letdown compared with the photos on Hotels.com, where I booked. There was no fresh fruit except old apples, and the eggs and bacon were undercooked each morning. Housekeeping turned my room once but didn't leave a new bottle of water, which I was told is standard. On my second night I was heading to the elevator when the front desk staff asked whether I had a room. I understand they can't remember every guest, but I wasn't there to play with the elevators. The location was horrible, and I don't feel the discounted Hotels.com rate was worth the money. This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It seems to be coasting on a familiar name. Never again.

The conference hall was spacious and had full digital equipment, and the place felt cosy and clean. The interior is very vintage. The restaurant was nice, though the meals were small and they served the same rice two days in a row. Staff couldn't understand English, or didn't want to.

The rooms were standard Ramada rooms, spacious, and cleaned with daily service. Staff were helpful and supportive. The location was excellent, close to Florence's main stations, with taxis and public transport easy to get, plus plenty of food options nearby.
