Residenza Borbonica

We picked this place for its location and strong reviews, and it worked out brilliantly. The Metro is literally about 5 metres away, the funicular is a 4 or 5 minute walk, and Via Toledo and the Spanish Quarter, with all their shops and restaurants, are right nearby. We had no trouble with pickpockets, though we do stay alert. After having stayed at the Hilton Hotel Sri Lanka, we still couldn't have asked for a better base in Naples. Inside, the Residence was spotless, bright and finished to a high standard, a big change from the scruffy shared areas of the building. Our en-suite was modern, and breakfast was a good continental spread served from 8 to 10. Vincenzo was very helpful. He sent a photo so we could find the entrance, arranged keys for the gate, Residence and room, and ordered our taxi back to the airport at a fixed price. It cost just over half what we paid on arrival, and the driver came to the bottom of the square within minutes. We stayed four nights in February 2026 on a city break from the UK. The taxi from the airport overcharged us despite us questioning the driver, then left us at the end of the road, around 30 metres from the front door. The entrance is on a small square behind large steel gates. The Residence is on the first floor, reached by a short flight of steps to the left, then a small three-person lift or the stairs. Brilliant stay, and well deserved five stars.
