The people looking after the residence were really kind and helpful, and the place felt clean and safe. The AC and WiFi worked very well. It’s in central Naples, about 10-20 minutes on foot from most sights and 15 minutes from Garibaldi central train station, with shops and supermarkets nearby. My one complaint is breakfast: it should be a buffet with more variety, and without plastic cups.

The old building itself is stunning, with a huge lobby, an old-fashioned lift, and lots of original details. It dates back to 1805. The hotel is right in central Naples: Spaccanapoli is three minutes away and the port takes about 15 minutes to reach on foot. The downside is the very busy street outside. In room no. 110, traffic noise was hard to escape. We wore earplugs at night. Naples is a city that never sleeps.

Our flight was delayed by an hour, so we reached reception a little late and were refused check-in. They immediately cancelled the booking as a “no show,” kept the full payment for the four days, 300 EURO, and still wouldn’t let us check in the next day. We tried speaking with them calmly and politely, but got nowhere, and had to pay for somewhere else to stay. I consider this place a fraud and these people ignorant scammers. Stay away.

The staff were friendly and helpful, though their English was limited. The place is on a main avenue, very near both the main train station and the historic center.
