Residenza San Gennaro

All good here. I'll come back! I recommend it 🙌

My girlfriend and I had planned two days in Naples and picked this B&B after seeing the excellent reviews. It was conveniently placed for the central station and just over a 10-minute walk from the city center. But during the first night, my girlfriend woke with marks on her back that looked as if we'd shared the bed with someone else. We confirmed they were bedbug bites, documented them, and promptly reported the problem to the owner, asking him to act quickly and find a solution. He kindly refunded what we'd paid for the second night, so we were "forced" to spend that night on our unplanned journey home. The refund was appreciated, but I was frustrated by how surprised he seemed when I discovered the bugs. A few months earlier, another review on Booking.com had already mentioned bedbugs in one of the rooms. They could have arranged pest control after that first report; the lack of attention and action cut our Naples trip short and made it much less peaceful than expected. I'm attaching a photo, and hope they arrange pest control!

We stayed here during the Christmas holidays last year and had such a good time that we'll be back in 15 days. It's clean and in a very convenient spot, with the weather and bus right under the house. The elevator is a plus too, and it's on a high floor. TOP. The owners are just lovely people 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Our stay was entirely negative. We booked in January because of the good reviews, but they currently have a bedbug infestation that hasn't been properly dealt with, even though they've been having problems for weeks. They say they changed the bed, which I doubt because there was dirt underneath it. I think they'll keep causing problems for guests unless they close for a few weeks and fumigate. Definitely avoid this place, at least until they fix the issue. I've attached photos of the bedbugs and the condition of my arm.
