If you need somewhere to stay before a flight, I’d highly recommend this place by the airport. The owner was so friendly and went out of his way to make sure I had what I needed. The room was cozy and spotless, with a great shower and a comfortable bed. I usually sleep poorly on my first night somewhere new, but here I slept like a baby. There was coffee ready for the morning too.

I paid in advance for one night between flights and arrived late, but there was nobody at the property. The intercom didn’t work, and nobody answered my calls or messages. I had to scramble to find another hotel so I wouldn’t end up sleeping on the street. More than a week later, I still haven’t received an explanation or apology, and my messages continue to be ignored. This kind of negligence should be reported to the authorities. The building was nothing like the photos either. It was an old, run-down residential house in a bad neighborhood. Beware of these scammers, and avoid this place at all costs!

The two rooms in the unit were clean, and both the bed and bathroom worked properly. I rested comfortably, which mattered since I had to get up at 02:00 to be ready for the trip to the airport and my flight. Two staff or residents helped me at different times, one giving me access to the building and unit, the other processing my passport. Thanks to the skycity b&b staff. Getting there from central Naples takes time and involves heavy traffic, though a bus stop nearby makes it accessible. One thing that could help future guests: mobile maps from Google and other apps don’t show the property up the staircase and hill complex, only near street level. The address is listed, which I appreciated, but the entrance has no clear sign on the building. There’s only a tiny sign by the front door buzzer, hard to read in the dark. Maybe skycity staff could send incoming guests a PDF or image by text or email showing exactly where the property is, when they get in touch to confirm arrival. Finding the place was a headache. Even the taxi driver, Uber drivers and Uber Eats couldn’t locate it, despite living in the area. The Skycity B&B sign was tiny and hard to spot. The neighborhood felt dark after sunset, and I didn’t feel safe walking between the building and the guard house. Neighbors in this section 8 apartment complex fought and loitered at all hours. The room did have a balcony and two bottles of water in the fridge, but there were no chairs. We weren’t allowed to use the washer and dryer, so we washed our clothes by hand and hung them up. Packaged sweet croissants don’t really count as breakfast. I also couldn’t work out the AC at first: the remote worked, but you have to switch on the power to the unit. Being near the airport wasn’t worth the trouble, and I don’t recommend staying here.
