SummerHome Napoli

SummerHome was clean, well arranged, and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. Check-in was simple, and help was available whenever needed. It’s well placed for exploring Naples and using trains or public transport. A good option if you need an apartment here for work or a holiday.

We were eight and everyone had a place to sleep. We accidentally broke a small mirrored picture, but they didn’t ask us to pay for it. Marisa and her son welcomed us warmly and pointed out good places and sights around Naples. The apartment is steps from the station, which makes it a useful base for getting around the city. It’s near the station, not in the center, so keep that in mind when judging the location.

The apartment was roomy and the host was there to welcome us, very friendly too. It’s near the station, so the area was a little busy, and we could hear street noise, though the neighbors weren’t a problem. There’s no elevator, just stairs. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had a washing machine. The bathroom needs attention: we couldn’t get the shower to a comfortable temperature, and I got burned.

The bathroom was awful. Hot water took more than 10 minutes to come through, and then the shower was so hot I burned myself because the temperature couldn’t be adjusted. The beds had dips in the middle, despite the owner assuring me they were good, and we found hair on the sheets. The whole apartment felt old, worn out, and in disrepair. It’s also probably the noisiest and dirtiest area of Naples, and I felt the neighborhood was dangerous after dark. Whenever a train went by, the house shook like an earthquake. They also insisted on cash and receipts, which was out of the question. I spent 6 days in this HORRIBLE apartment. Stay away!!!
