Hotel Tiempo

Bed bugs seem to have covered the place. My boyfriend and I stayed there and we’re covered in bites, even though the rooms look clean. The breakfast was mediocre, and it’s far from anything worth seeing in naples. I don't recommend staying here. When I raised the problem, they blamed us for bringing the bugs in instead of taking responsibility, and were unpleasant about it. I wasn't even asking for a refund, which I didn't get. I just wanted them to know what had happened.

The breakfast was very good, and the room was clean and practical, if quite basic. It would have been perfectly acceptable for a short visit. The staff were professional after the incident, helped me contact the police, and arranged a new room. Still, while I was briefly away on the evening we arrived in March 2026, someone broke into my room and searched it thoroughly. Several belongings, including my laptop, were stolen. The room had been properly locked, and the hotel said it appeared someone had got in with a duplicate key card. It was a very concerning thing to happen so soon after check-in. I’d advise future guests to take extra care with their belongings. The surrounding area didn't feel very safe either, especially on public transport, and may not suit families or student groups. I'm sharing what happened so others can make an informed decision.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and this is a basic, isolated place to sleep that cost less than Sorrento. It’s two metro stops from main Nsples, but the area feels rough. There’s no supermarket nearby for water or snacks. The rooms had no kettle, the TV worked on and off, and the beds were big but felt like hard sofas. We weren't told until we were leaving that the air conditioning only worked if you paid, so we slept with the window open and got eaten alive by tiger mosquitoes. It actually turned out to be bed bugs! Breakfast was a nice continental spread until about 60 students arrived and pushed us into the lobby. Staff seemed bored and fed up, and there were no hot drinks after breakfast.

I was there for the first week of October 2025, while the hotel was being renovated. British Airways hadn't told me about the work before I booked. The noise was awful, and the soundproofing was nonexistent. There were very few facilities, no coffee machine in the room, a dreadful breakfast, and no bar. My balcony also got no sun. The staff seemed friendly, but when I booked a sightseeing excursion at reception, they required cash and wouldn't take a card. The trip fell apart after its first stop. It wasn't the holiday I'd hoped for.
