Umberto 34-Luxury Home

The place was hard to find because I got no arrival instructions, and there was no reply to my WhatsApp messages. The woman who let us in didn't speak any English. Communication was awful, and there was no free parking despite what the overview said. Maintenance was poor too: the bed lights didn't work, the toilets were broken, the shower hose leaked, and we were given just half a roll of toilet paper. The bed for the kids hadn't been made.

The location was great, but the room hadn't been cleaned. The sheets and towels hadn't been changed and had a lot of spots on them.

Though it's on a main road, the place is quiet inside. Staff are friendly and helpful, though they're not around all the time. They're available in the mornings or by phone or WhatsApp whenever needed. It's been beautifully remodeled, with three large bedrooms, big-screen TVs, satellite with lots of channels, and clean, modern bathrooms. There's a nicely decorated shared living and dining area where they prepare a continental breakfast each morning. Alternatively, you can get a ticket to have breakfast downstairs at the local coffee shop.

Luigi, our host, was very helpful and gave us lots of ideas about where to go. The rest of the staff were kind too. The B&B is right in central Naples, with a metro station just two minutes away, and the rooms are very cozy. We can recommend it. Breakfast was good, though we missed having eggs, ham and cheese. We also wished there had been a toilet and a room to change in while waiting for our room and before leaving. The big road outside makes it a little loud, and I couldn't sleep well at night.
