The owners were very kind, and we had a great stay in a clean place with a really comfortable bed. It's very convenient if you're arriving by train. Our holiday was too short, but we'll be back very soon.

The room was clean despite the location, and the beautiful Church of the Annunziata is only a few steps from the alley. Still, I'd have chosen somewhere else if I'd known the area. It has the evocative feel of 1950s Naples, as it was described to scare tourists away. The air conditioning didn't work, and the room wasn't soundproofed.

Small, but really nice. It's close to the Metro and train station.

The room setup was frustrating, especially the bathroom, where there was nowhere to hang a towel or set anything down. At night, the light came on through a photocell that couldn't be switched off, so getting up to use the toilet could wake and blind whoever was still sleeping. We spent four days there, in a street-level room with traffic and people talking loudly from morning to night. The noise from upstairs added to it, and it felt like a car repair shop was running in our heads. A stay to forget.
