Via Nilo House

The owner keeps this B&B very clean and takes good care of guests. It's right in central Naples, on a quiet street just steps from the universities and main tourist sights. I'll definitely come back.

The rooms are roomy enough, and the two-room apartment is livable, but there are little things that make it less comfortable. The toilet, shower, and kitchen are shared. No slippers, and the floor gets cold. If you're only sleeping there, you can overlook a lot of it. First challenge is figuring out the keys for the entrance and the other doors. You'll need internet right away. Breakfast wasn't included, but we got a pleasant surprise: a playing-card quest won us a couple of croissants and coffee for breakfast at a nearby cafe. It's very noisy at night and in the morning, with no soundproofing. You can clearly hear your roommates, and they can hear us too. Have a good rest, everyone.

We appreciated being able to let ourselves in, using the code the owner sent to open the key boxes outside the building. The property is well maintained and clean, and the rooms feel welcoming. It's centrally located for visiting the city's main Christmas attractions. Mr. Vincenzo is a delightful, thoughtful person. Highly recommended.

The bathroom was almost unusable. In places the floor was very dirty, the toilet wasn't clean, and the shower had hair and mold in it. The sink water drained badly, and the toilet flush was unreliable. The room itself was mostly clean apart from a few spots, such as the corners. We couldn't find the balcony mentioned in our booking. Finding the accommodation was difficult too, since its name was tiny on the apartment building's doorbell. Check-in was supposed to start at 3 pm, but nobody was there and our calls went unanswered. When the owner eventually arrived, we had to wait another hour because the room wasn't ready. At least we were allowed to order a drink in her name at a nearby bar. We were given the owner's mobile number and told to reach her on WhatsApp if anything came up. She didn't answer any of our messages, and in the end we had to leave early.
