Bed bug warning, and I would avoid Victoria B&B Hotel. When we arrived, there was a live cockroach on the desk, and our room wasn't cleaned at all during the stay. For all I know, that cockroach's leg may still be there. I later woke up with bites and initially thought it was an allergy. As the bites kept appearing each day, I went to A&E, where they gave me a report saying it was most likely bed bugs. We showed the report to the hotel, and their attitude toward us changed; they treated us terribly. We moved to another hotel and disputed the charge with Victoria B&B Hotel through Booking.com and our credit card company, since the hotel wouldn't acknowledge the problem. After we got home, we had to hire an outside company to exterminate bed bugs throughout our building, all 18 flats. Avoid it at any cost.

The B&B felt clean and safe, and it was quiet inside. Outside, the neighborhood was crowded and unclean. Its location was handy, within walking distance of both the historic center and the train station. Reception was staffed around the clock, though we could only manage basic English with them. Breakfast was simple, just croissants and coffee.

The room had working air conditioning, decent beds, and the basic amenities. There are a few minimarts nearby, so finding food is easy enough, and Via di Tribunali is around a 10 minute walk. The area itself felt quite sketchy, even though nothing bad happened to me in Naples. The place is also not too far from Napoli Train Station. Getting luggage up was unavoidable, since reception is on the first floor above ground level and the left entrance has a few steps. I wouldn't recommend staying here, but it would be okay for a day or two if you have to. Check the other nearby hotels too.

The breakfast was really poor. The man serving it seemed inefficient, and we had to ask for a spoon, fork, and plate because there was nothing on the table to eat with or off. One couple asked for croissants and got some, but we didn't ask and didn't receive any. The location was close to town, though it didn't feel particularly good and seemed a little unsafe at times. I wouldn't recommend it.

It's close to the central station. The neighborhood is a ghetto, but if you keep to yourself, it's completely okay.
