Aparthotel Residence Ludovica

We had a very good stay. The owner was welcoming and friendly, and the ground-floor apartment was modern, well equipped and had all the comforts. There’s also a rooftop pool with a 360° panorama. A place I’d recommend.

We came for a week as two families, nine of us in all. The residence was peaceful and well organized, and it’s close to the center of Santa Maria. The beach club is only about a five-minute walk away. The kids enjoyed the pool, even though it was on the small side, and we adults were able to manage things around the apartment.

The outdoor area really added to our stay, and the apartment itself was very nice. It’s in a quiet spot, though a little too far from the center, and there’s no sidewalk on the way to the beach. We had an issue with the shower, which was fixed four days after we arrived. I’d expected a quicker fix, but the staff were friendly.

The terrace pool was beautiful, and the landscape views were lovely, though the sea is far away. You really need a car here. The place made a strong impression on me despite being on the edge of the small village of Santa Maria al Bagno. It’s still close to places of interest like Gallipoli and Porto Cesareo. The owner was accommodating and very helpful. When a logistical problem came up, she offered me a free weekend, which I really appreciated. Recommended.
