Corte La Rosa

The city has plenty going on, but the B&B itself is wonderfully quiet. Its three rooms make the place feel intimate, and the owner gave us lots of helpful tips and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are a good size and have what you need, including a hair dryer, towels, and soap, plus lovely little terraces. You can't drive in because of the ZTL, though parking is usually available about five minutes away on foot. The kittens often come by to visit.

We'd happily come back to this clean, charming little place in the historic center. There's a lovely square nearby with excellent small restaurants, and events are often held there. Some of Salento's most beautiful beaches are close too.

The room was spotless, with quiet air conditioning, a modern and efficient bathroom, and a comfortable bed. The pillow felt a little too firm for me, though, and the room has no window, which I found difficult. It does have a shuttered entrance that faces the stone wall of the staircase. This is a typical old-town house, with two shared terraces, one looking over the historic center's rooftops. The owner was very welcoming, and there's a coffee machine. It's in the car-free historic center, but public street parking is a short distance away.

We found it easy to see lots of sights from here, then come back to a peaceful spot. The rooms are beautiful, with stone vaulted ceilings, and the terraces look out across Nardò's rooftops. There's a very sweet cat, too, and the owner was kind, friendly, and helpful. Recommended!
