Villa Degli Angeli

Breakfast was generous, varied, and served in a lovely, well-kept garden. Our room was spotless and had every comfort, and the property itself was so peaceful that it was easy to unwind. Alberto and Milena made us feel like family. They were warm and attentive, and suggested places to visit, eat, and swim in that beautiful sea. We had a triple room and a double room, both clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were generous and delicious. They were served in the villa garden, a calm, quiet place just steps from the sea. Mrs. Milena and the girls who greeted us were courteous and helpful, and made sure we felt at ease. It really did feel like a dream.

Even in the summer heat, the villa stayed cool thanks to its thick walls, and we didn’t need the air conditioning. The rooms are very spacious, and after a day at the beach it’s a lovely place to relax. We were surprised to find such peace and quiet right in the center of Santa Maria al Bagno, with only the cicadas to hear. Milena & co. looked after us discreetly and were always available. There’s no parking at the property, but you can leave the car a few steps away near the market or the village church. The beach is only a few meters away. We can’t wait to return.

Breakfast in the beautiful inner courtyard was a lovely start to the day, and the spacious rooms are furnished with care. The property is beautiful and meticulously maintained, right in the charming village of Santa Maria al Bagno, where you can smell the sea from dawn to dusk. It’s professionally run, with the nearby beach and the cliffs of Santa Caterina both within walking distance. The sunset there is unforgettable. Salento’s colors and flavors stay with you. The sea alone makes me want to come back, especially in the low season when the weather is mild.
