Agriturismo Dai Marchesin

We were welcomed with a gift at the entrance. The place was exceptionally clean, and our host was both professional and friendly.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, each with its own bathroom, and the whole place seemed recently renovated. We only stayed one night at the Dai Marchesin farmhouse to split up a longer drive, choosing it as a stop about halfway between Florence and Avignon. The setting was a pleasant surprise: it's away from the sea, but sits in a green valley with a river, and even in mid-August the nights were incredibly cool, around "10". Breakfast was generous, and we took several savory things with us for lunch. The manager was wonderful and we had a great time. I'd definitely come back as soon as I can.

The welcome gift was much appreciated, and I had a very pleasant stay. Mrs. Stefania was so kind and helpful, especially with my friend, who has many allergies and intolerances. She made sure my friend could still enjoy breakfast despite all those difficulties. I'd have given five stars if not for the connection problems, though there is free WiFi inside.

Breakfast was so plentiful and tasty, with pizza, focaccia, and frittatas, enough to carry us through lunch. The place is surrounded by greenery and feels fresh and spotless as soon as you walk in. Rooms are simple but clean, and the bathroom is lovely, with a terrace attached. There's also a shared kitchen you can use for free as long as you clean up afterward. The thoughtful extras are a nice touch. Highly recommended.
