Hotel Villa Del Conte, confirmed scam, not recommended. We booked several rooms for our group at Hotel Villa Del Conte for September 2025. As a company, we'd stayed there regularly when attending the biennial trade fair at Fiera Milano (Rho). The hotel's new management confirmed by email on June 19, 2025 that they were handling the booking directly. We agreed on the dates and terms, then sent a €1,120 advance payment by bank transfer on July 11, 2025 as the deposit and confirmation. On July 21, the hotel confirmed on WhatsApp that the money had arrived correctly. It was the same number listed on their website and social media. Then, on September 10, just five days before we were due to arrive, they said on WhatsApp they couldn't host our group because of supposed heating problems. They offered no alternative booking and didn't return the payment. On September 11 they said the manager would call, but no one ever contacted us, by phone or email. To this day they deny receiving the payment and have not refunded the €1,120 deposit. We sent them all the supporting documents and proof of payment and never got a response. They canceled unilaterally, offered no solution or compensation, stopped communicating, and refused to take responsibility. This is completely unacceptable and disgraceful, showing no professionalism, ethics, or commitment to customers. We feel defrauded: they kept our money without providing the service or any alternative. We have no doubt these irregularities amount to a scam. A warning to future guests: do NOT trust this establishment under any circumstances. Don't pay in advance. If you value your money and peace of mind, avoid Hotel Villa Del Conte at all costs.
