Tra Lago e Montagna Baita la Morena

We spent four days here and hated having to leave. The property is beautiful and wonderfully quiet, and Claudio was a fantastic host, always glad to help with whatever we needed. I'd happily recommend staying here.

The rooms are in a lovely rustic house, and the food was incredible. Eating it felt like being at home, wrapped in a hug from my mom. Most, if not all, of the ingredients come from the owners' own work and production. During the week you can eat here if you book a day ahead; otherwise the restaurant is open on weekends. Getting here means heading up the hill between Nesso and Lezzeno, either by monorail or on foot. Once you arrive, it's like a little paradise, full of beautiful nature, peaceful surroundings, and breathtaking views. The owners are warm, down to earth, and delightful to talk to. They were always ready to listen and help with anything we needed.

We felt right at home with Claudio and his family. Even though we don't speak Italian, somehow we understood one another, and we left with wonderful memories of our stay. Our room looked out over the lake, and the chalet sits on a hillside. You can get there by monorail or by taking a ten-minute walk. There's a bus stop near the monorail entrance and free parking in the same spot. The family serves meals in the restaurant on Wednesdays and weekends, with almost everything produced and prepared by them. We were so glad we chose this place for our Lake Como trip, and we'd definitely return when we're back in the area.

We had a fantastic stay in this apartment, with a wonderful view over Lake Como. Claudio, his daughter Morena, his wife Nadja, and son in law Carlos all went out of their way to make it as good as it could be. Such a lovely family and a special place. Recommended!
