Mrs. Filomena made the breakfasts herself with so much care, and we ate them on a terrace with an enchanting view. They were unforgettable. Mr. Rosario’s warmth and smile are hard to forget, too. Juan and Nico were always attentive and ready to help, so a special thanks to them. The setting was beautiful, and we had a delightful stay. We were welcomed warmly and courteously, while our privacy was respected.

The breakfast was generous and varied, with a view of the beach. Mr. Rosario was helpful and truly lovely, but Maria Teresa, his daughter, was the real gem. We were three families with six children altogether, and she was sweet, friendly, and ready to meet every need. Highly recommended. If I had to mention one letdown, it was the in-room refrigerator. Still, nobody’s perfect.

I booked a non-refundable room on Booking.com for two nights. The day before leaving, there was an unexpected death in my family and I had to cancel. I understood that the room couldn’t be refunded. I still thought I should let the hotel know I wouldn’t arrive, in case they could rent it to someone else. A man answered the phone. I assume he was the hotel owner, since the person I was speaking about never even showed up. I barely got out, “I’m sorry, but due to a death in the family, I have to cancel the trip,” before he started shouting that it wasn’t his problem and I had to sort it out through Booking.com because that’s where I’d booked. He didn’t offer condolences, which was rude, and wouldn’t let me speak. I had to raise my voice and repeat that I didn’t care about the money. I was only calling as a courtesy so they wouldn’t wait for me at check-in. He replied, “Yes, but you have to cancel on Booking. Otherwise, Booking won’t pay me.” It was an absolutely unpleasant call. He shouted at me for no reason, and I found him rude. Is this really how a property should treat customers? I’m sorry, but it left a terrible impression. I’ll never consider this place again for trips to Calabria, and I won’t recommend it to anyone.
