The food was great, with something different each day, and the private beach had plenty of room, seats, and umbrellas. Staff were top notch, friendly and always smiling, even though they worked from morning until night. We spent a week here. A few rooms could use improvement, and the fridge didn’t work properly.

Being close to the beach was a plus, and our room was always clean, but the stay left a bad impression. The reception staff were extremely unfriendly, seemed to try to scam us, and never helped, which felt very unprofessional. The rooms need renovating, and the whole resort does too, in my opinion. Food choices were limited. As a vegetarian, I ended up eating the same thing almost every day because there weren’t other options. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The food was fabulous, and the people working there were really nice. It’s a big, beautiful garden, good for a peaceful week away, with all-inclusive service, parking, and a beach bar with loungers and parasols. The sand wasn’t soft, and we had waves. Nicotera Marina is about 10 minutes from the hotel, but there isn’t much there. The train station is around 35 away, and the route is difficult. Rooms are small but fine for sleeping; the bathroom was small and the shower even smaller. You need a swim cap for the pool. There are activities for everyone, though they’re mostly in Italian, and the disco goes until midnight.

We’re so happy we chose the Sayonara for our summer holidays. The entertainers were amazing with both kids and adults, and a big thank you to Manuel for making our stay unforgettable.

The hotel is a little old and sits close to the beach. It was closed in the off-season. This place seems to have had its glory days about 20 years ago.
