The owner was wonderful and spoke fluent English. She introduced us to all her lovely animals, including her beautiful one-year-old horse 😘😘. The small hotel has the feel of a luxury boutique place, and the trullo room and breakfast were over five stars. Everything was AWESOME. It’s out in the Noci countryside, but easy to find, and between Alberobello and Matera. You’ll want a car to stay here.

Such a spectacular place, peaceful and magical at once. The hosts were so polite and kind, and the animals and birds added a lovely presence. Our room had all the magic of the trulli. Everything was amazing, and I hope to return.

We sat outside and it was just divine. The restaurant food is fantastic, the location is beautiful, and the service was exceptional. Good value too. Everything here is great, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

La Mandra is easy to find in the Noci countryside, not far from the main Taranto to Bari road. The menu features local vegetables, cheeses, meat, and wines, and there are horses and different fruit trees on the property. It’s a nice spot for lunch or dinner, or for a small celebration such as a birthday or christening. Prices are in line with the market. I fully recommend it.
