Elena and Mark made us feel at home throughout our five days here, even arranging laundry service. Breakfast was served in a charming dining room, with fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, cakes baked on site, and other tasty choices. The food is made there from local ingredients, and we loved it. We also bought pasta made from wheat grown on the farm and cooked it in our comfortable trullo with tomatoes picked from the vegetable garden. Their farm-grown olive oil is available to buy too. We picked Meteriis Trulli e Natura for its position in the Itria valley, which made it easy to visit Pulignano A Mare, Monopoli, Martina Franca, Alberobello, Locorotondo, Matera, and Ostuni. There turned out to be a lot more to enjoy than the location. The restored trulli retain their 1890’s charm, with thoughtful details in the rooms and across the surrounding buildings and landscape. Our trullo was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We’d definitely stay here again if we return to Puglia.

We felt right at home during our 11 days at Materiis near Noci. Elena and Mark were wonderfully kind and helpful, and breakfast made with regional products was excellent. The three beautiful Trulli were spotless, well furnished, and clearly cared for. We spent our summer holiday in Apulia here, and it was a small, carefully put-together paradise. We’d gladly return if we’re in the area again. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

Elena and Mark were wonderful hosts, and the Trulli strike a lovely balance between feeling authentic and feeling luxurious. It’s a peaceful spot, well placed for visiting key places in Puglia. I can’t recommend it enough.

We booked Materiis Agriturismo after reading so many good things about the property and its hosts, and they were right. Elena and Mark were warm, friendly, and thoughtful, helping us feel comfortable and sharing local know-how as we planned things to do around the region. Breakfast changed from day to day, with plenty of sweet and savory choices, and was delicious. The setting feels like a little haven, with trulli tucked into untouched nature and a welcoming, homely feel. Our trullo was roomy, nicely decorated, and gave us an authentic stay. We chose the one with a jacuzzi, which was such a relaxing treat after long days of driving and sightseeing. From the scenic entrance onward, the place was beautiful. We had a memorable visit, and are grateful to Elena and Mark for looking after us so well.
