Palazzo Vescovile Hotel

The shared rooftop terrace was a real highlight, with our two private sunbeds, parasol and wide sea views. The Relax Garden, with hammocks and cozy lighting, was another nice spot. Our room was spacious and spread over two floors, with the bedroom upstairs and living room below. It had air conditioning. On arrival, our luggage was brought up, the car was parked for us, and we got a little history of Hotel Vescovado. There was even a small box of cookies from the hotel bakery waiting in the room. Breakfast was well above what we usually find in Italy: fresh bread, focaccia, croissants, Parma ham, goat cheese, eggs made to order and some of the best homemade cakes we’ve had. The vanilla tart was especially good. Service at breakfast was fantastic, and one morning the bartender brought an ice pack for my foot when we asked. A small gesture, but very kind. At around €400 per night, the price felt justified by the views, attentive service and five-star atmosphere. A few things could be better: there’s no pool, though the sea is close; my request for lactose-free milk or yogurt was missed despite reminders; some staff don’t speak English and the room information isn’t in English. Water pressure can dip between 18:30-19:30 when the whole town is showering. The minibar could have more variety, like wine, beer and snacks. The bar has a beautiful view, but the cocktail menu could use work. The spritz was great, while the rum and cola was too strong. The snacks were delicious. We’d happily return and recommend Hotel Vescovado. Noli itself is a gem too, with its charming seaside promenade and hiking trails in the nearby hills.
